PREGNANCY CARE

Pregnancy is the time to celebrate the ultimate experience of womanhood— the birth of another life. With the news of pregnancy, the life of the woman changes. Hence, it is important to take care of the pregnant woman. Pregnancy care is all about keeping the mother healthy during pregnancy, prepared at the time of childbirth, and later for her new life as a mother.

We have sessions for pregnancy care in different divisions to help pregnant women and new mothers

  1.  SESSIONS ON PREGNANCY CARE

3 sessions, 1 hour each done:

  1. Before 12 weeks
    1. Between 13-28 weeks
    1. Between 29-40 weeks of pregnancy.

In these sessions, we care about:

  • the changed lifestyle due to pregnancy
  • managing non-medical issues like anxiety, backaches, loose motion, vomiting, sleeplessness, and others.
  • solving queries and breaking myths about pregnancy
  • telling the do’s and don’ts 
  • knowing baby’s heart sounds and counting his movements
  • handling emergencies during pregnancy
  • avoiding stretch marks.
  1. SESSION ON HOW TO PREPARE FOR BREASTFEEDING

Can be done anytime for 1.5 hours after 30 weeks of pregnancy.

Here, we care about

  • holding the baby during breastfeeding and the feeding timetable
  • problems with breast during breastfeeding like redness of nipples and pain in breasts
  • preventing engorgement and listening to shallows
  1. SESSION ON HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE BABY AND THE BASIS OF PARENTING

Can be done anytime for 1.5 hours after 30 weeks of pregnancy.

Here, we care about topics like

  • The health of the new-born
  • taking care of the baby- skincare, eye care, and other general cares
  • baby care and massage routine
  • knowing your baby: growth (weight check) and immunization
  • traditional practices and smart parenting tips
  1. SESSION ON POST-BIRTH EDUCATION

It’s a 6-week program that Can be done anytime from 28 weeks of pregnancy.

  • week 1: knowing about labor and its stages
  • week 2: preparation of the upper and lower body, and the pelvis for childbirth
  • week 3: breathing practices and techniques
  • week 4: breastfeeding process
  • week 5: baby care and parenting tips
  • week 6: 2practice sessions.

Here, we focus on preparing for childbirth; especially natural childbirth.
